The possibility of starting a Gay Parenting group here in Louisville is exciting. There is a national organization which tried to do this a few years ago and I was part of that. It didn't work out so I'm hoping this time we are successful in getting members to join and the children involved with each other.

I will be willing to host the initial meeting at the home of my partner and I in southern Indiana unless someone else has a better idea. For now I am proposing a week day meeting but think that weekend meetings with our children might fare better as we move along.

I, personally, have 3 children from a straight marriage. My partner also has 1 son from a straight marriage. Our personal needs may be different than someone who adopted or did AI. But we want to focus on the children and the issues they will, or do, face by having gay parents.
